Haye Farm
Organic Vegetables, Chickens, Pork , Eggs
The aspiration of Haye Farm is to create sustainable food systems, which support high levels of productivity whilst encouraging an increase in biodiversity and wildlife.
Rather than viewing each individual element on the farm as a single entity we view them in terms of the role they play in the wider system where each elements’ externalities support all other elements.
Our systems are rotational, everything is continually moving, our moveable chicken coops are always on the move. This improves soil fertility, ensuring crop productivity whilst maintaining healthy plant and animal welfare. It also eliminates the buildup of disease, parasites, pests, nitrates and other negative impacts on the land and environment.
The long-term ambition of the farm is to create a fully integrated system, which is not reliant on any external inputs. Through embracing these practices, we aim to produce the highest quality produce in terms of taste, nutritional value and animal welfare.
Phillip Warren
Beef, Pork, Lamb , Poultry
Phillip warren are different from most other “direct from farm” meat suppliers as we are professional butchers who farm. The business has been farming and butchering since 1880 and to this day we still “dry age” and mature our meat the traditional way on the bone before cutting for today’s modern consumer.
There is a reason Phillip Warren supplies Michelin starred chefs countrywide and this is because they only supple pure, native and rarebreed meat.
In terms of beef, they specialise in suckled native breeds, from Red Devon’s, South Devons, Galloways from the moors, Welsh blacks, true Aberdeen Angus, Red Herefords. The unique Dexter’s and any other old breed we can find on these many small hillside farms.
They source the finest pork from many rare breed pig farmers who keep only one or two breading sows producing pigs from saddlebacks to Tamworths to Berkshires.
